There Will Be Rocket Fuel (SLA d.7 & 8. Marts)

Yngwne McNaught has to ask for a favour, a favour of the Old Station Chief, of the Capo's Capo: of Piotr himself. He has to ask permission to send Piotr's god son out to death or madness, to send him into Casino Lux, to retrieve a Company Employee. So he has only one choice, to invite the Chief and his family to one of the oldest Belter ceremonies... "The Palawa".

To share spirits and tabac with these dangerous, subversive old men and to tell them only truth. He invites citing his cause and they come asking their questions, maybe even about his cause, maybe... But such is the tradition and what people would Belters be... Had they not traditions.

So a Palawa it is: in their den. In their Summer Residence in the Wetlands...

Close to the soothing sound of the grey poluted waves and the cold final embrace of a watery grave...

Rend mig. MVH: D."

Forvent ikke at dit gade-ry forbliver intakt...

:D

Vi starter 17:00. Jeg tilgår hos Ras ca. 16:15.

The Station Chief was right in punishing me. Compared to them I’m not worthy: I’ve become less than a Belter, but somehow still less than a Company Man. Only Sasha mockingly shows me compassion and I know what that means.

Blind folded and tied to a pole he hands me a cigarette, probably the same mercy he showed Md. Blawatsky and Mr. Lempke. He is indeed a sword, but surely Osair was the only one to the right hand: Piotr was never sentimental. But I digress.

When I saw them in his station’s suits, when I saw their certain young eager faces I remembered.
I remembered the face of my father. Something Olik and Piotr have never forgotten.

My loyalty to the Company has brought me nothing: they are not of the kind that repays service. They are without honour, having replaced it with partisanship and petty politics. It can be likened to replacing the water in a prisoner’s cell with dust and dead flies. It means slow death: the slow death of upright, aspiring, ambitious men.

Here I sit a corrupted, addicted, pederast old coward. They are what I aspired to, even the youngsters are by far my betters.

Were I but not a Belter once: betrayal would not bring me this pain. May my kin forgive me.
