From "Operatives Street Primer: Gangs and Subversives" 899SD Edition.
KWL!
The “Kit Wa La!” has been around for ages. Not one of the largest gangs, but certainly one of the best organised. Their name remains a mystery, sounding like the Shaktar greeting “Kthr’Whr’Lhhrr!”, which roughly means: “Flourish and remain true to Honour/The Ideal”. This seems at odds with the fact, that the gang is known to target and kill Shaktars, even operatives. Organised in a very militaristic fashion, they focus their activities in the downtown area. It is estimated that 50% of KWL!s activity revolves around protection of locals against other gangs. Most of the other half comes from the lucrative black market trade, often with Dark Night goods.
Even the lowliest member can be counted on, to own a rifle and a helmet, they are even known to carry grenades and heavy weapons. They never use CAF and have some disdain for most other SLA produced weapons. They patrol their areas aggressively, but can be counted on to contact intruders and take them captive if not bribed heavily in unis.
Know to start fights with most other gangs and win them, they don’t seem involved in the constant negotiations and deals which the other gangs practice, in order to avoid war. The KWL! Wins most of the fights they start, if they appear to loose they often use explosives and even chemical agents. Most gangs are at loath to engage the KWL! in open combat.
Famous, or rather notorious members include: Commander Desoto ((Former Operative SCL 6) The Siege of Malaki, The Johannas Uprising of 871) , Captain Petrograde (Battle of the Black Church, Black Out of 896) Sgt. K’mhl Shkr (Siege of Getzemane, Murder of Herb Wales Kiestas Boss 886 and Storm on Alfa 888.)
Always to be considered armed, dangerous and always encountered in groups of at least 6.

From "Operatives Street Primer: Gangs and Subversives" 899SD Edition.
The Johannas
The largest unified racial minority on Mort, the dark skinned Johannas are easily spotted due to their black clothing and long dyed dread locks. They even speak their own crude version of SLA standard “DaWorda” and have their own primitive kind of pseudo-religion “DaLorah”. The language is a strange sing-song version of standard, nearly recognisable, obviously with the same root-words. The religion is a strange connection of sacrifices made to and demands made of some invisible spirits which are collectively known as “Da’Immaterium”. They take their religion very seriously and many a Downtown battle have started over misunderstandings over DaLorah.

Organised in tightly knit family groups they still display a remarkable ability to unite when the need arises. Their religion and priests are often the leaders in such situations, but they also have chiefs and other types of leaders: a confused maze of persons, families, inter-marriages, religious fractions and saints guided by the voices in their drug-crazed brains. On street level most Johannas tries to live together in small communities, they tolerate the presence of others, but can become agitated for seemingly no reason. As a gang they are very active in the drug trade, the black market and violent robberies. (On another economical level they are numerous enough to be their own market for a large number of items, such as food stuffs, clothes, entertainment and some drugs , as the revolting moist tobacco they happily smoke, called the “Da’Sensimillia” or just “Da’Ganjah”.) The Johannas are a complex phenomena, some times seeming like a soft company, at other times as a very large gang. They are almost completely a Downtown gang, but are often seen in small numbers even in Uptown.

Their most prominent members include Prince Jaspar the Mort “HedowTribahs”, a young charismatic leader. Blakmann Dozah, one of the most wanted inhabitants of the DDs, wanted for everything from subversion to treason. Runnah Kha-reem, wanted for homicide and The Kilhmer Incident (879), Attempt on Karma #31 (888) and the Black Church Riots of 897. But the most famous remains the high priest of the “DaLorah” religion Baron “Bones” Balthazar, who remains the undisputed center of the very active religion and loved by all Johannas.

From the "Channel Know!" Documentary: "Street Lords" which aired 897SD. (Following the programme KWL issued at statement, claiming only two KWL members died.)
Kiestas The Lords of Suburbia.
Considered soft by most of the Downtown gangs the Kiestas remains a force in Uptown, Downtown and in Suburbia. They are a loud boisterous lot, strutting their SLA bought fashions, their expensive apparel and their abundant CAF weapons. Running shoes and customised vehicles, being the most important of these. But Kiestas tattoos, caps and jewellery coming in at a close third.

To further earn the disdain of the Downtowners, the Kiestas remain relatively fractured. They are organised by neighbourhoods and place the local gang over the whole. The local gangs often have colourful names like, Sons of Blood, Rouge Rabbits, Kill Drillers and so forth. To most “Johannas” or “KWL!” the idea of fashionably dressed CAF wielding thugs calling them-selves “Blood Beasts” seems absurd. They are at loath to be associated with the Kiestas, but some times have to, because of their massive presence in Uptown and Suburbia.

Inter-gang competition is fierce, but not as fierce in the downtown environment. But it often comes to protracted fire fights with two or more gangs and the local SHIVERS, with dead on all sides. But when the local gang is under pressure from outside forces the might of the Kiestas show: massive numbers of reinforcements come to help often in a very uncoordinated manner, but the numbers are staggering. Such engagements are usually very bloody, but rather short. The SHIVERS always respond with overwhelming force, and almost always too late. Most famous of these incidents are the “Millers Run”, which was show in its entire length on Chanellen TEN, where the KWL! extracted a crashed hovercraft crew from East Suburbia. The nine hour ordeal left 9 KWL! Troopers, 36 SHIVERS and 439 Kiestas dead, not counting civilians.

The Kiestas are heavily into drug distribution, prostitution and organised theft. But on the whole they are not as coordinated, nor as well trained as the other gangs. They remain strongest in Suburbia and Uptown. The most famous members include: Jose “Biesta” Bantonio, currently imprisoned in Getzemane for multiple counts of homicide and Grand Arson. Buetta “True Blonde” Carmarille, currently wanted for racketeering, Grand Theft VHC and several counts of Attempted Murder against Security Officers (Monarch). A vain, volatile and violent bunch: handle with care!

SCL Data Base (SCL 10)
The Orbital Drop Bombs
The Thresher Orbital Drop Bombs are not a new phenomena, they have been a constant threat against the peace and stability of Mort for many years. As the orbital defences and detection capabilities of the company evolved the bombs became increasingly sophisticated, but also increasingly scarce. At the time of writing, 897SD, the bombs are very stealthy and fully capable of penetrating our most sophisticated surveillance systems.

Fortunately these advanced bombs are obviously expensive for Thresher to produce, as their numbers have dwindled drastically. Our defence systems also work as a deterrent. The stealth bombs also have precision problems, as they appear to strike at random, as regarding to time, place and pay load. The bombs sometimes even strike in the Cannibal Sectors or in the Wetlands. Once again our superior strategies have hindered Thresher, removing their capabilities to sabotage our righteous endeavour.

On average two strike Mort a week, but only one in 10 strike near habitation and only one in 50 strike near any company installation.
One in six hit the sea or in a Cannibal Sector. On a curious note the un-location “Pyre” has been struck several times. (D-Notice!). The ODBs do not represent any danger to the stability of the company any more.

3rd Eye News Network(c) "News at Nine: 100 Seconds of News!" Programme.
(Aired 4 days after the Battle of Battalista Park)
Late Wednesday this week a small force of Riot Monarchs was mercilessly attacked by subversive elements in the traditional Johanna ghetto “Battalista Park”. The violent subversive rioters sowed disunity and chaos in order to allow a suicide bombing of the honourable Council of Elders, which govern the loyal and satisfied enclave. Several Operatives vigilantly guarding the Council were also killed in the blast. All subversives were terminated, the order and prosperity of the sector reinstated. The Company thanks its newest Security Force for its vigilance and bravery. Thank You Monarch Security, Riot Division!

Sasha stopper filmen.

Sov godt lille operativ, og lad Firmaet våge over dine drømme.
Loyalitet betyder Liv.

The History of Dante:
"War World Biographies" from the "Corrected Science Channel"(TM)

Dante: The Whitest Pearl
Ever since its discovery this frigid planet has been the most contested, since the formation of the World of Progress under the aegis of the SLA. Little is know of the world before and during the Conflict War. But ruins penetrating the heavy glaciers tell of large advanced population centers, with huge complexes and towers. Some evidence suggest, that the ice age affecting the planet was caused during the Conflict War, and very rapidly too. What race inhabited the planet before also remains a mystery, but human seems very likely. The planet remains heavily contested by many factions and is stage for an ongoing all out war, where all kinds of weapons are deployed. As a result the climate is very toxic and the local biosphere almost totally destroyed. All involved parts in the war battle fiercely, alliances and loyalties shifting weekly, to avoid one part gaining the upper hand. The average survival time is 28,8 hours a day on Dante, gravity is 1.2 which also hinders personnel some what and the average temperature is -20 degrees below freezing. The wind is typically a gale and the completely dark winter lasts 9 of 12 months. Tectonically the planet is quite active because of some of the weapons deployed. Snowfall is a common occurrence, hail and lightning storms too.
Thresher remains the biggest problem to Company Militia. Their supreme power armours remains the most versatile and durable opponent on Dante. Fortunately Thresher only seems able to deploy very few at any given time. Losses generated by these encounters usually generate staggering casualties, KIA & MIA, never WIA. Thresher is known to keep several ships in high orbit, these often supply very heavy artillery support of unmatched precision. One ship seems permanently station there the “Anointed by Wailing Wastes”, a Thresher Heavy Mountain Class Cruiser. Although it operates with out fighter cover all assaults on it have failed.
The Dark Night presence seems divided, almost schizophrenic. Some very specialised commando units have been fielded against various targets and some lightly armoured mechanised units have used in many roles over the years. But predominantly Dark Night fields large numbers of ill equipped infantry, which is dropped by pod onto the planet near strategic targets and assault them in droves. Very lightly armed and armoured their casualties are often near 90%. Some have been observed to complete their objectives, only to be abandoned to the cold harsh climate.
Company Militia retains a powerful presence capable of dealing with most situations. A frightening force equipped to the meet the highest standards. Their results on Dante have been an inspiration to all brave & loyal Militia Troops. Slayer himself has on numerous occasions commented on their valiant bravery and sacrifice. To date the Militia have only expanded their zone of control and pushed back the Suppressor Powers. It is predicted that the entire planet will be under SLA control in 10 or 11 years. Volunteers keep streaming towards the icy orb, to ensure the victory of Peace & Progress. Thanks to the medical advances of KARMA the fatality rate has dropped drastically and the technique of L.A.D. was even pioneered on Dante.
Programme was never aired, as it proved too information dense to the test audience. DepHis and DepWar both withdrew funding.
(Following general HQ guide lines no information of other Suppressor Powers was mentioned.)

Og vi bringer lidt nyheder!
RELEASE SCHEDULE
We are planning on releasing a series of books starting with Hunter Sheets Issue 1 in late Spring 2004. What follows are tasters of each of the titles currently planned for a 2004 release. More about estimated release dates, page counts, prices, etc will appear in future Station Analysis Reports and we hope to bring you previews of some of the artwork when the website is fully up and running (which should be by the end of the year).

HUNTER SHEETS: Issue 1
Hunter Sheets focuses on 20 of the prominent SLA subversives operating in the World of Progress, ranging from the lethal rival company agents like Sniper D - an undefeated Dark Night Assassin, to the notorious Shian Blood Cultist - Elliot Raik. GMs will find detailed backgrounds, game stats and how to utilize these villains in game. Hunter Sheets also includes stats on new equipment, powers and the first Conflict Alien race to reemerge in the SLA Universe – The Krell…

CANNIBAL SECTOR ONE SOURCEBOOK
The CS One sourcebook is an extensive guide to one of the most dangerous regions on the whole of Mort. Inside you’ll find extended background and descriptions of all its colorful inhabitants – Cannibal Clans, Carrien, and the Scavs.
CS One also talks about the sectors size and the important landmarks Operatives can explore. Players can get the new option to play Sleeper Shivers, or if the GM is feeling especially cruel, there are rules for running SLA Industries newest division – Cannibal Sector Operatives. Other highlights include a whole collection of insects and vermin exclusive to CS One, and range of horrid diseases that even Ebb Healers will have trouble curing…

SLA INDUSTRIES WORLD GUIDE 1 - JACINTO
The first in a series of short World Books exploring civilizations, cultures, flora and fauna on SLA owned planets. We’re kicking off with the Resource World Jacinto ( also known as ‘Red Hell’). Widely regarded as a top safari venue for Contract Hunters, Jacinto is heavily populated with a wide variety of exotic (and deadly!) animals.
This supplement gives stats and background material for Razorheads, Vitchers and Nariks, which are mentioned briefly in Contract Directory.

SLA INDUSTRIES WORLD GUIDE 2 - XAIME
Xaime is an Industrial/War World on the outer rim of the World Of Progress. For centuries it has been violent battleground for the forces of SLA Industries and Thresher Inc., but now the planet’s original inhabitants have returned to reclaim it – The Krell.

WHITE EARTH
This book covers the most terrifying world in the SLA Universe. The D-Notice has finally been lifted, the truth uncovered. White Earth will explain its history, origins and its eternal prisoner – Bitterness.
Also included are extensive rules about how to run a White Earth campaign, the planets impact on the World of Progress and all other information pertaining to the Truth, which Slayer has struggled to keep, hidden over the centuries.
White Earth will be like nothing SLA fans will have seen before.
Fra den virkelige verden... øv hva! ;-)

Følgende spot blev bragt for at oplyse om Firmaets sejrsgang i DMZ'en.
The DMZ Reclamation Project
Slowly but surely the cityscape that Dark Night and Thresher have raped during their futile insurrection on Mort is being retaken by the loyal and freedom loving forces of the Corporate Militia, sponsored by the strategic masterminds of Department of War. Following the heroic warriors is an endless train of technicians and construction workers. Under the aegis of Department of Maintenance this never resting workforce painstakingly rebuilds the homes and workplaces of the civilian population, ensuring their livelihood and their loyal children’s future.
Their tireless dedication to the Company and the Vision of Progress allows them to reclaim the neighbourhoods formerly swallowed up by the fanged mouth of the DMZ. The footage shown in this newsflash is coming to us directly from the Mabel Street Sector. In the pouring rain the victorious Corporate Militia troopers are overseeing the removing of ruins and rubble. Soon the sector shall be reclaimed and its prosperity restored. Thank You Department of War! Thank You Department of Maintenance! This is Angelica Fuentes De la Croix for Third Eye News, on the edge of the DMZ, Downtown, Mort. [Commercials]
Og mere fra DepProv & DepWar
Corporate Militia 722nd “SHALLOWS RANGERS”
Forward General Infiltration & Counter-Insurgency Group
To aid the peerless efforts of our loyal operatives and efficient Militia troops the Head Office has given the Department of War the Green Light, to employ specialized troops in their just and certain retaking of the DMZ. While not needing reinforcements, the strategic geniuses at DepWar have chosen to air drop several elite scout teams into the DMZ, to speed up the process of eliminating several pockets of illegal Suppressor activity. Already famous and loved by the liberated populations of several planets, the 722nd is a formidable force for freedom and progress! As this news was leaked by DepMis, the number of volunteers went through the roof, for the 7th year in a row…

En lækage har fået dele af en rapport om fjendens tropper i cirkulation, kommer de ufrivilligt til at læse dele af følgende bør de kontakte DepWar og melde dem selv hos DepSec. På forhånd tak!

DN “Guardians of Mosca Wall”
226th Regular Infantry

The bulk of the DN presence in the DMZ is from this ragtag company of chronically under armed and under supplied company. Uniforms range from brown, to grey, to blue, even within the individual 6 man fire team.
Weapons are uniformly of poor quality, almost to the low level of the Penal Legion discussed below. They are hungry, dirty and mean.
Morale is lax as officers are a rarity and systematic looting seems to be an official order. Currently the Guardians seem to have been expelled from their Spedaskograd bases, by forces unknown. Surprisingly they have caused trouble for the CorpMil in the past.

DN “Korkagrad Avengers”
2177th Para/Pod-Troopers

A uniform and well disciplined force of young men & women well indoctrinated Dark Night workers, who choose liberating poor suppressed citizens over toiling away in the factories of the Heart Worlds (Not all are from Korkagrad). They are here to make their ruling Triumvirate and families proud. Equal to most CorpMil units, they have no of the ongoing morale problems and a lesser supply problem. Their weapons are often of older date, but still efficient. They seem to be engaged in some sort of competition or low key conflict with the MASS, as both groups often target the same areas or subjects simultaneous, on occasion they have even traded shots. A solid and capable fighting force often able to draw on close air support or artillery.

DN Peoples Unified Corrections
1189th Penal Legion
One of the seven known Dark Night Penal Legions and considered to be the largest. Prisoners are granted their freedom after serving a term in the army, not many get to die in freedom. Dropped by pod and crashed in shuttles they have been deployed in the DMZ the last 13 years, but never before in these numbers. Desperate and rough, they act more like a collection of lawless mobs, than a coherent force. Their casualties are absurd, as most are KIA or MIA with in the first 26 hours. 35% of all casualties produced by CorpMil are from PUC units. They have catastrophically poor gear, no armour, not even helmets and have to scrounge and scavenge as they are not resupplied. They act with utter disregard for lives and property and are hated by all in the DMZ. From time to time the MASS culls their numbers, promoting the few that survive these progroms to regular infantry. No tactics, no heavy weapons and no future. Engage at will.

DN Irregulars “The Liberated”
Mainly drafted from civilians finding themselves in a DN controlled zone, these poorly armed troops pose a threat only to the CorpMil. But their value as intelligence gathers and scouts is enhanced by their knowledge of the area and net of local contacts. 60% of all confirmed CorpMil kills are actually Irregulars, 85% of all captives . This is D-Notice at SCL 6. We are actually just killing our own civilians. A few close-knit groups of Liberated actually can hold their own against the CorpMil Infantry. Engage at will.

DN Insurgents
Pouring out from the DMZ north and south edges, the number is estimated at 15-25 a day. Armed, trained, indoctrinated and spreading out over the entire city. SHIVER is not suitable to contain this situation and DepSec refuses to let the Dark Finders loose. Expect to see a sharp rise in sabotage and gang related activities. It must be stressed that DepWar is not willing to deal with these low intensity combatants, this responsibility falls squarely on DepSec and SHIVER.

DN The MASS Elite Heavy Infantry
[This elite company is discussed at length in the up coming rapport. Here it suffices to say, that their presence is the largest single danger to the welfare of all loyal citizens and the security situation on Mort.]

DN “The Trans-Vaal Panzer Choir” 72th Mechanised Support
[Black Hammer on Red Square]
Pod deployed mechanized units, from light APCs to actual tanks and AA batteries. How they have managed to reach the current troop levels in both the DMZ and NLPZ remains unknown to the DepWar Command Team. Specialised groups maintain the fleet of Bolts deployed into the DMZ.
The CorpMil must be issued RPGs. Thought this escalation will not please Head Office or DepSec. Should the number of armoured units available to DN continue to rise, we will have to reconsider operation “Efficient Pillar” again or loose control of the zones completely.

Dark Night SOFUD 23rd Special Forces Group
(Special Operations & Forward Urban Dissolution)
Several SOFUD teams has penetrated our ailing orbital defences. The current number is unknown, but three teams have been confirmed. Roughly about the same size (200-300 soldiers), these elite insurgency and sabotage specialists have already caused untold damages. Typically operating in 4-6 man commando groups, they are always superbly equipped, but thankfully rarely employing Power Suits.

“Red Torch”
[Red Torch held high on Blue Triangle]
General Purpose Commando Unit. Implants and Heavy Weapons, seemingly also affiliated with the MASS. They use 6 man teams: expect snipers, Power Suits, close air support, ambushes and traps.
Unsuited for disposal by regular forces, but may be neutralised by massive CorpMil expenditure. Do Not Engage.

“Peoples Rope”
[White Bar crossing Red Square]
Infiltration & Assassination. Advanced Implants and specialist weapons.
Actually not confirmed on Mort, but the level of CEO, SHIVER Officer and CorpMil Officer casualties corresponds with their presence. Do Not Engage. Activate DepSec forces.

“Black Star”
[5-Pointed Black Star on Red shield-shaped background.]
Biochemical Experts. Advanced Implants and weapons.
Prisoners and message intercepts confirm their presence, but they have yet to mount any of their infamous ABC attacks. No sightings of casualties achieved, but a group UC Penal Legion troops have been found cremated in hastely constructed ovens near Spedaskograd. DepEx thinks this the work of Black Star Commander and war criminal Griborkim. No further explanation forthcoming.
Do Not Engage. Contact DepWar.
